    March 11, 2009 by jaynestnpics

    Nashville’s taste of New Orleans

I once again had another opportunity to go on other Tennessee Adventure.  This time we went to see The  Wild West  Band playing at the French Quarter Café http://www.frenchquartercafe.com/.The French Quarter Cafe, is located 8 blocks from the Titans LP Field stadium on Woodland Street Nashville, Tennessee 37206   Phone: 615-227-3100

I had heard of the French Quarter Café, but had never been there until our adventure. The French Quarter Café is based on the New Orleans Style cooking, drinks and music. The French Quarter Café features Spicy Cajun cuisine. To see the menu and the up coming bands be sure and go to there web site. http://www.frenchquartercafe.com/ If you are in the mood for a little Voodoo, great music and spicy and not so spicy food this is the place. The Music ranges for Jazz, Blues, Rock and Country.

I would like to introduce you to The Wild West Band:

Darryl Douglas - Lead guitar and lead vocals

Kevin Douglas- Rhythm Guitar and back up vocals

Amy Steed - Lead and back up vocals

Tim Glassford - Drums and back up vocals

Glenn Steed - Bass Guitar and backup vocals

The band is called The Wild West Band. http://www.thewildwestband.com

Not to be confused with the Wild wild west.

The Wild West Band is a combination of friends and family.  Although their newly released album “Home is Where The Hurt Is”, which is comprised of originals, leans more toward the County genre, they can play any type of music. Rock, Classic Rock, Motown, Blues, and of course Country: For a sample of the New Album “Home Is Where The Hurt Is”,  go to http://www.thewildwestband.com/music-originals.   They have been playing fairs, festivals, conventions, political events, and have been the opening band for many top name recording artists.
